St. Monica School is an active participant in the National School Lunch Program, having an Agreement with the federal government to follow specific nutritional guidelines and use entitled food dollars to receive commodities to keep the cost of the school lunch affordable. This dictates many aspects of preparing and serving a wholesome school lunch to your children. Eat Smart! Play 60!
LUNCH PAYMENTS are being withdrawn from your FACTS accounts this year. GO TO THE SCHOOL WEBSITE AND FIND THE FACTS VOUCHER FORM. IN ORDER TO KEEP YOUR CHILD’S LUNCH ACCOUNT CURRENT YOU SHOULD REQUEST AN AUTO-WITHDRAWAL FOR EVERY MONTH. Suggestion: appropriate $50.00 per child that buys a school lunch every day at school; $35.00 or more per child that buys a school lunch 15 times a month at school. Always check the Lunch Account Balance Report that is posted twice weekly on the Lunch Page to see if you need to add more money to your childs lunch account. ************************************************************************************************

You Could Be Eligible for Reduced Priced Lunch Meals
St Monica School participates in the National School Lunch Program which makes our school an authority to discreetly review applications for reduced priced lunches. Current economic times may have temporarily put you and your family in a position to seek assistance in feeding your school-aged children.

In January 2012, the USDA set in motion a three year plan to have significant changes transpire in the traditional school lunch. You will see in our lunch menus increased offerings of fruits and vegetables, more whole grain breads and cereal type foods, reduced amounts of saturated fats and sodium and fat free or 1% milk selections. At Saint Monica the School Lunch staff has been following these guidelines for several years and is committed to ensuring even stricter adherence to the new meal pattern guidelines.
